Η Ουρουγουάη, επισήμως Ανατολική Δημοκρατία της Ουρουγουάης, είναι μία χώρα που βρίσκεται στα νότια της Νότιας Αμερικής. Περίπου ο μισός πληθυσμός της χώρας ζει στην πρωτεύουσα και μεγαλύτερη πόλη, το Μοντεβιδέο. Είναι η δεύτερη μικρότερη ανεξάρτητη χώρα στη Νότια Αμερική, μεγαλύτερη μόνο από το Σουρινάμ, και μία από τις πλέον σταθερές πολιτικά και οικονομικά. Έχει έκταση 176.220 τ.χλμ. και πληθυσμό 3.485.931 κατοίκους, σύμφωνα με επίσημη εκτίμηση για το 2025.
